After The First Lady, Michelle Obama, gets back from touring all over Europe and rock the fashion world with what she wore, she’s already tackling the White House dog issue, the White House Easter Egg Roll, and getting down and dirty with the much-anticipated White House Garden.

Michelle held court out on the White House lawn decked out in her gardening gloves and all, as she taught a group of school children the virtues of growing your own spinach, lettuce, herbs, fruits, and veggies. I wonder if she enlisted Malia and Sasha to help dig up the garden and get it ready to plant. I would.

When she asked the kids how much they thought it cost to plant the WH garden, a little boy guessed $100,000. To which Michelle replied: “My husband would go crazy if he thought we were spending that kind of money…It’s between $100 and $200. So it’s not a lot of money.”

According to her, the garden was the hot topic while she visited with world leaders abroad.

Want to know more about the first puppy white house? The LIttle guy is six-month-old Portuguese water dog given to the Obama girls as a gift by Senator Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts. Malia and Sasha named it Bo.

Bo is very handsomeand cute little guy, he’s got tuxedo -blackfur,with a white chest, whitepaws and a rakish white goatee. According to FirstDogCharlie website, Bo original name was Charlie.
Bo is a surprise for Malia and Sasha, it has been arranged secretly about a few week ago.And girls love itinstantly. Bo really charmed the first family, he sat when the girls sat, stood when the girls stood. He made no toilet errors and did not gnaw on the furniture. Bo has, after all, been receiving lessons in good behavior from the Kennedys’ dog trainers.

When the president walked across the room during the visit, Bo followed obediently.

Sasha was excited; Malia focused on all the “responsibility issues” — how Bo will be trained, cared for, etc.

“Malia has done extensive research,” the source said.

All of this is new to the first family. Sasha and Malia have never had pets. And neither the first lady nor the president had dogs growing up.

In a statement, the Kennedys said: “We couldn’t be happier to see the joy that Bo is bringing to Malia and Sasha. We love our Portuguese water dogs and know that the girls — and their parents — will love theirs, too.”

The choice of a Portie raised one complication: The Obamas have long said they wanted a rescue dog. But the carefully bred Porties almost never end up in shelters. Bo had been living with another family but it wasn’t a good fit, so the Kennedys acquired him for the Obamas.

Back in the States, I gotta say there seems to be a lot more anticipation about Bo instead of gardening. Gardening is fun, but dog is funnier. Even the Obama’s girl taught so.
