With her mother Pat Garner the former of school teacher, actress and Save the Children Artist Ambassador Jennifer Garner was attended a book reading session at the Rosemount Center in Washington DC on Tuesday (May 5) to launch the 2009 State of the World’s Mothers report, which presents alarming findings on the lack of adequate early childhood education across the country and around the world.

The report presents a first-ever index that ranks all 50 states and D.C. on their ability to prepare children five and under for success in school.

Jen and her mom explained the meaning and implications of the report’s findings in the United States as well as advocated for an increased federal commitment to American children.

Always doing what she can for charity Jennifer Garner last week also showed off some seriously skinned knees which she suffered after falling during a recent jog. She tells Live with Regis and Kelly that the day of the accident was filled with ‘oh no’ moments. As her husband Ben Affleck took Jennifer’s injured in care, the couple had missing their their 3 years old daughter, Violet Anne, they said, ‘Where’s Violet? Has anyone seen her? What happened?’” Jennifer recalled.

“You know when a 3-year-old has been left alone for a while? We walked into the next room — we’re in a rented house, by the way. Sorry people that we’re renting the house from, I’m about to tell you something you’re not going to like. She had a jar of honey, upside down, empty. She was going like this [makes a swimming motion].”“She was fascinated by it,” Jennifer explained. “You can’t even say anything about it.” In addition to Violet, Jennifer and Ben are parents to Seraphina Rose Elizabeth, 4 months.

Really nice mom, huh, not only care her children and also full of forgiveness, she also cares so much about all American children.
