Beyoncé, who’s in Europe on her “I AM…” world tour, taking a break from her hectic schedule, Beyoncé visited the Andy Warhol exhibition at the Grand Palais in Paris today (May 5) with her mother Tina, sister Solange and nephew Daniel Julez Smith, Jr.
With a movie currently in the top 5 position and a single in the top 10, the 27-year-old entertainer is in the City of Light to do some promoting and premiering while enjoying some much-deserved R&R with the fam.
Beyoncé Knowles was a chubby youngster. The Crazy in Love singer admits she was once so overweight during her formative years, that she often needed four people to help her zip up her jeans.
“When I was around 10 or 11 my mother gave me this really ugly haircut and I was really chubby,” the former Destiny’s Child star told magazine.
“So chubby that my family used to all lie me down flat so that they could zip up my jeans. It would take four of them and I would lie there on the bed while they all got to work on it.”
Beside her was chubby, but she has a performed “At Last” for Barack and Michelle Obama‘s first dance as President and First Lady in January, she remains proud of that moment and all of her what her accomplishments so far.”Fifteen years from now, I want to be able to look back and say ‘Wow.’ That’s where I was at 27. That was my best.”
And it certainly has been a big year: Last April, she married Jay-Z, 39, and the busy couple work hard to spend time together. “We try to sync our calendars,” Knowles says. “I started working on my tour a year ago just to make sure that I had time at home. But you know, that’s part of it. Any other woman who has to go to work and pick up the kids and make dinner – that’s way harder than what I have to do. At least I can say I’m taking two weeks off and really take two weeks off.”
And still there’s a person that thinks her as a little girl, her mom, Tina, who accompanies her on the road. And tells the magazine ,”I’m always the person to make her go to bed, I am still her mother.”
Beyoncé, recently described herself as a “gangster” when it comes to business.
I am a professional person so I don’t really get too gangster,” she said. “But I am a businesswoman and I can get quite gangster. When I have to, in my own way, I can turn on that mean gangster side of me.”
The singer recently shared that she’d like to follow in her sister’s footsteps and become a mom someday.
