Motherhood has really touched so many mom in the world, and for the singer-songwriter and mom, Sheryl Crow, the motherhood has taught her about life and influenced her songwriting in good way.

The 49 years old mom with nine Grammy Awards tells Parade after finishing up her “100 Miles from Memphis” tour and getting ready to hit the road with Kid Rock for string of summer show.

A mother of two son, Wyatt Steven Crow, 4, and Levi James Crow, 1, shares her feeling when she has her sons on tour with her,
“It’s great! It’s just fun for me to have them around all the time. They are the people I love most and they’re teaching me everyday what life really is all about.”

It’s amazed me, how she keeps her creativity in songwriter between her preoccupation for having two toddler sons.
“I think it has given me a different outlook on life and your life tends to inform your art. I get a lot less sleep, I can tell you that, so I can pull from my lack of sleep for some very inspired songwriting!”

Not only that, she can manage to be eco-friendly wherever she is, and she’s for sure to pass on to her sons.
“We recycle at my farm and we grow an organic garden. We also have certain rules around the house about running water, the air conditioner, and not leaving the lights on. We are all about conservation. I am also solar-powered now. Unfortunately, solar power is not inexpensive enough for everybody to afford. I’m hoping in my lifetime we see it be made affordable.”

Her environment awareness was not a new acquisition, she has learned from his parents.
“I was raised by environmentalists. My father and mother were both very adamant about only having the lights on in the room you were in and the air conditioner was only for the room that you were living in. We all share this planet, we’re just renters here. What we use is a luxury and should be conserved for those who come after us.”

Living in Nashville has giving a great normal life for her kids.
“I’m from around there; my sister lives in Nashville and the rest of my family all lives within three or four hours of driving. The countryside really resonates with me. It just feels like home. It’s great for my kids because you never see paparazzi in Nashville, so that’s a great way for them to have a normal upbringing.”

“It doesn’t really exist in Nashville, so that makes it really easy. With regard to L.A., I can kind of count on when I’m going to be sought after by paparazzi. So for the most part, I don’t take my kids where I know they’re going to be, with the exception of airports. I can’t seem to protect them from paparazzi at the airport. They didn’t ask to get into this line of work, so I feel like it’s not really fair for them to be subjected to it. I just try to keep it as real as possible for them.”

The singer was not only protect her sons from paparazzi but also from heartbroken, to Prevention magazine she tells her ‘slowly’ romance with Doyle Bramhall II, a musician.

“I’ve been in the situation where I’ve been involved with people and their kids, and if the relationship doesn’t work out, it’s heartbreak. So I’m keeping the relationship friend-based when we’re around the kids. Luckily, we have a great foundation, having known each other for 15 years.”

I think she’s learning from her previously relationship with Lance Amstrong, a champion cyclist, that split in 2006 after 3 years together.
