Great news from the “super couple” Aishwarya Rai, 37, and Abhishek, 35. They are expecting their first child, after four years their marriage.

The news was revealed by Abhishek’s father, actor and producer Amitabh Bachchan through twitter last Tuesday, “News News News!! I am going to be a Grandfather. Aishwarya Expecting. So Happy and Thrilled.”

The proud grandfather also added on his blog that “The doctors just confirmed it this evening (Monday)  and I have shared it immediately…on Twitter.”

Many speculation on Bachchan Super Jr due, and expert say Ash may just be ready to deliver around her birthday on November 1.

Well, whenever the baby will born, I pray for the health for both mom and baby.

Meanwhile the news was greeted by family and fraternity, “The family is really very happy for Aishwarya. We are all delighted and waiting for the baby. I can’t, however, tell you when the child is due,” says Ramola Bachchan, wife of Amitabh’s brother Ajitabh Bachchan. Abhishek’s childhood friend, filmmaker Goldie Behl, says, “It is great news. Abhishek is thrilled.”

The actress Aishwarya who has won two Filmfare Awards (the Hindi equivalent of the Oscars) and starring Bride & Prejudice in 2004, The Last Legion in 2007 and The Pink Panther 2 in 2009 and also won the Miss World Beauty pageant in 1994, also hailed as “the most beautiful woman in the world”by People magazine.

Seeing her world wide achievement doesn’t make her change, she stills down to earth. Once she told on David Letterman show, about her permanent move in Hollywood, she said,

“I’d be happy to stay in my country. But we are gypsies in this industry. You go where work takes you.”

Back to the pregnancy news, as we expectedly manny personalities congratulating the family, and once again, the proud grandfather Amitabh Bachchan adds,

“Thank you all so much for all the blessings and greetings and the good wishes…To be a child again, to pamper and give love and company and all things bright and beautiful to the little one that shall take over all our attention in the days to come…and now cometh the progeny of my son that shall bear the surname Bachchan — the first in this generation.”
