In her statement, Rai says, “Spreading awareness on health issues, especially related to women and children, has always been a priority for me. And now, as a new mother, I can personally relate to this – the joys and concerns of every mother and the hopes that we have for our children.”

    UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibe said, “Mrs. Rai Bachchan is respected and admired by millions of people around the world,” adding, “I am convinced that through her global outreach, Mrs. Rai Bachchan can help UNAIDS reach its goal of eliminating new HIV infections among children by 2015.”

    The Bollywood actress that famous from her hits movies such, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Devdas, and Pink Panther 2, also on hand together with Naomi Watts for the Global Partnership Forum Women Leaders event in New York City last September 24.

    Yesterday, September 25. Aishwarya Rai and Christy Turlington were among the famous faces on hand for the 2012 United Nation ‘Every Woman Every Child‘ Dinner in New York City. The Foundation has a mission to saving lives of 16 million women and children by the year 2015. And now $10 billion has been disbursed to accomplish the organization’s goal.
