Friday, November 15th was a very touching day, when a five-years-old kid that suffers from leukemia had his wish came true. Miles Scott’s wish was not different from the other children, he wants to be Batman, his favorite superhero. And Make-A-Wish Foundation granted his wishes for one special day at San Fransisco, California being a Batman.
For one special day, San Fransisco turned to Gotham City, when the Batman needed to rescue.
Well, public name the boy, name Miles Scott as BatKid anyway, not Batman. Miles Scott who has battling with leukemia for 3 years did a very good action superhero. BatKid save a girl from the Riddle and catch the bad guy with the help from San Fransisco Police Department , BatKid foiled the Riddler’s bank robbery and took him in custody.
After his heroic duty, he took a break and have a burger near Union Square. The climax of Batkid’s day was saving San Fransisco Giant’s mascot Lou Seal from the Penguin who locked Lou Seal up in a cage at AT&T Park, where BatKid came and rescue him.
According to abcNews estimated that 13,000 people turned out to support BatKid in San Fransisco. Many volunteered time as actors, videographer, San Framsisco Police Department, and other roles. One person donated a Lamborghini for the day to be a Batmobile. And the most heartfelt about this, all people gathered to make a dream of a young Batman fan to be as real as it can be. Even the United States Attorney’s office released the news in Gotham City Chronicle newspaper to thank BatKid for his action that save the day.
At the end of the day, BatKid received awards at City Hall where Mayor of San Fransisco, Edwin Lee, gave key of the city and Gotham City Chronicle newspaper framed also declare the day of November 15th as Batkid Day.
President Barack Obama also praise the role of Batkid to combat the crime in Gotham City via twitter. And all the Batmen actor such as Christian Bale, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, Kevin Conroy, Val Kilmer and Adam West mentioned Miles Scott and his prowess against crime and the greatness of his Batkid role to their personal twitter.
His role in the day as BatKid to fight against crime and became a hero in Gotham City has touched many people hearts around the world. With this we reminded about love, hope and goodness which embodied in a single wonderful Friday in the city of San Fransisco for Miles Scott.
