Matt Damon Talks About Parenthood and His Happy Marriage
Watching celebrity dad such Matt Damon with his girls Isabella, 3, Gia Zavala 15 months and Alexia, 11, teaching them about politically active as care citizen. “The tagline is that ‘Democracy is not a spectator sport,’” Matt says to OK.
“That’s what I would want, more than anything, my kids to take away. This country is about participation, activism, understand ing the history of the country, understanding your place in that history, being involved and being a productive part of the American experience.”
Being daddy for three girls is not easy, and surprising too, for Matt Damon as an actor who has been acting as father several times, parenthood keeps his eyes open as well.
“I never knew I could function this well with no sleep. That was a realization.”
Matt who recently move to New York city, talks about his plan for the holidays coming, and surely it’s about going back to Florida. “We’re getting out of town for a few days, and going down to Florida.”
And he’s got all plan for holiday and has the tradition to continues, it’s eating. “Thanksgiving, yeah. It’s gotta be the eating.”
At the premiere for the History Channel’s new documentary The People Speak, the writer Howard Zinn who has known Matt since he was 5, describes about Matt as a great father. “He’s a very straight, honest, intelligent, thoughtful, socially-conscious person. I’ve known him for a very long time. I love him.”
“He hasn’t been Hollywood-ized,” he notes. “I remember seeing him with kids before he had kids. He was always good with kids. Maybe it was because his mother was always good with him. He was raised by a single mother. She did a great job with him and his brother.”
Zinn talks about Luciana Bozan Barroso and how Luciana can fit to Damon’s side, he adds, “She’s not a Hollywood type, either. Not at all. She’s just a human being, and she’s very unassuming, modest. They’re both regular people, so they’re great together.”
What an ordinary celebrity couple, huh?
The 39 years old actor, shares his tip about his happy marriage with Luciana, with “good communication” and “She just has to get out of bed in the morning,” Damon says.
Alexia is a daughter of Luciana from her previous marriage.
