The controversial rapper is holding a benefit concert in Concert through the Kanye West Foundation, The foundation has also been called the Donda West Foundation at times. Focused on helping Latino and African American children stay in school and to get a proper education through grade school, high school, and college. The foundation also focuses on children who need help to stay in high school by finding a path through music. He’ll play the Stay in School benefit concert June 11 at the Chicago Theater.
“I have always had the desire to help people and make the world a better place. I believe that youth are the music for creating a world filled with harmony. To create such a world, however, we must all do our part,” West said in a statement.
Tickets for the concert, which will air on Fuse later this summer, go on sale Thursday.
