In Parade, Academy Award-winning Charlize Theron is admiring her mom, Gerda Theron, as the one who make her keeps center;
“I have a great mom, and I have a healthy and close relationship with her. That started from the time that I was a tiny kid She was always just incredibly encouraging. She’ll be like, ‘Whatever it is, go for it.’ But most of all when I get out of line I know she’s always going to be there to kick my ass.”

“We’re both little adventurers. When we took a trip to Guatemala, Stuart came home at, I think, 5 in the afternoon and said, ‘We’re getting on a flight at midnight.’ I had to drop the dogs off at my mom’s house and just go.”
