Tim Meadows and Paul DuFrayne Have Similarity

    For Timothy Meadows, known as Tim Meadows, the alum of Saturday Night Live took some time to speak to reporters about his role as Paul DuFrayne, Bill’s best friend on The Bill Engvall Show. On the role he is a divorce hair replacement specialist who talks a big game but is ultimately unlucky in love.

    Tim says that he limits sons Isaiah and Julian’s exposure to the sitcom as he is recently divorced from their mom Michelle Taylor.
    “If it’s an episode that does not deal with me being divorced, then I’ll watch it with my kids. I explain it to them cause they’re six and eight years old, so they understand that it’s just pretend and everything. But for me, it’s too personal to have to explain, ‘When that guy is talking about his ex-wife, I’m not talking about your mommy.’ I try to keep that aspect of it separated.”

    In the other hand, the 48 years old actor said that Paul and he has similarity in divorce, the only different is that he has kids. Are the rest have similarity also in his life?
    “We haven’t used anything from my personal life yet except for my own frustration and anger in dating. I find it as difficult as my character sometimes. He’s a divorced hair-replacement specialist who’s very frustrated about dating and he’s wondering how come chicks don’t dig him cause he’s rich.”

    Looking back to his childhood, he amazed to what he had accomplish in act. He describe himself like a shell that coming out from his shell. Pretty shy kids but with huge wants, he now where he belongs.
    “I was not funny growing up. My family was more surprised than anybody that I started doing comedy. I was really shy as a kid. I watched a lot of television. I remember distinctly having conversations with my mother where she used to say, ‘You gotta get out of the house. You have to leave and go play outside.’ I was always a fan of comedy, and then one day I sort of came out of the closet. I really wanted to do this.”

    He stills had the challenge in learning the lines especially in front of the audience, never give up to learn is the answer for the perfection.

    His advice to young comics, “Give it five years. And if you’re not making money in five years, you should probably find something else!” . To me sort of never give up, and continue to what you believe. So pull yourselves together and go after your dreams.
