Vera Farmiga, 35, an actress and a mother of a son named Fynn, 6 ½ months, shares about her wish to be a mother. Playing in the horror flick ‘Orphan‘, as a woman who haunted by the still born birth of her baby who later adopt a girl to fill the void, she also has a dream once to be a mother, when she was getting ready to do the film.

“I was desperately trying to get pregnant and wanting to be a mother.”

But she was spending time more on grief websites where women talked about what can go wrong as they went through coping with the loss of a baby after a miscarriage, trying to learn about from their mistakes in the future, so it won’t happen to her.

“You realize what it takes to put back the pieces of a broken heart after experiencing that. It was eye-opening to feel their ache, and you desperately hope it’s something you won’t experience.”

She has what she had wishing and desperately wanting to be, “I became a mother shortly after finishing this film”, she said. Everything went fine for her, during her pregnancy and the labor, which is almost for the first mom to be scared of.

“I had a C-section but there were no complications — so I was thankful for that,”

Learning from her role and her mom, makes her becoming the mother today. And she is very much enjoy her time being a mother and her new role in the parenthood.

“I’ve played a lot of mothers in my movies and I come from a massive family where the youngest is like 20-something years younger than I am. My mother had seven kids and I’ve sort of been studying her my whole life so I knew what to expect. But the funny part is, since having my son Fynn, I don’t remember what life was like before parenthood.”

Having a moment together with husband is something she loves and waits. Her husband, Renn Hawkey, is her best friend to spend her saturday nights.

“I love Saturday nights with my husband, who is my best friend, sitting down with a big bowl of pasta, wanting a good scare. We like movies that will say, ‘Listen, your life is not as bad as this. Your life can be so much better than what these poor people are going through.’

Fans to thriller films, Vera Farmiga has the balance in her life. She had a great farm that she lives on, and far from the glamour and blitz. Such an adorable life to live.

“I live on a little farm in upstate New York, and I have Angora goats and Nubian goats. I milk them and shear them and I’ve sort of become a farmer in my spare time.  It’s really sort of a great place where I can be centered and have a great perspective on what it is I want and need and, yeah. It’s a great balance. My husband is a musician and carpenter and he made the crib for our son.”
