Becoming a father for eight times, has make Mel Gibson, 53, proved he is a handy daddy for his little daughter, Lucia Anne, with his girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, 39, which is named after her and Gibson’s grandmothers. Lucia arrived a month early and Gibson missed the labor since he was in New York for his new movie, The Beaver.
Although he missed the birth, he stayed on his new family for three days before resuming the shoot on Monday. His girlfriend, Grigorieva has praised him for being a great and “incredible” daddy and has proven his skill for only three days.
“Mel’s very hands-on. He was amazing while he was here for a short visit. He has been very doting and nurturing. He is incredible with children, very kind,” Contactmusic quoted Grigorieva, as saying.
She added, “He’s an amazing person and he treats everybody equally. That’s what I know. I know him as a very kind and generous person, embracing his friends and family. He’s tremendous as a dad, unbelievable.
“He’s ecstatic. He is very much in love with her already. She just wins people’s hearts, she’s so beautiful and tiny.”
On Hello magazine, Grigorieva, a Rusian singer shares about her labor on October 30,
“I was at home then I got rushed into hospital and, eight hours later, I could look at her beautiful face. Mel came just a few hours later because he had to fly from New York.”
And Lucia has gaining weight fast, learning two languages and the inspiration already in such very young age.
“I’m speaking Russian and English and singing lullabies in both,” says Grigorieva. “She has been an inspiration already. I’m composing a children’s song book.”
Lucia will be join Alexander, 12 years old son of Grigorieva and Timothy Dalton.
