January Jones, the Mad Men star, gave a birth a healthy baby boy, on Tuesday, September 13.
Her reps told UsWeekly that , “Mom and baby are doing great.” And the baby boy’s name is Xander Dane Jones which is mean in Greek origin as ‘defending men.’
Jones who’s never say about the father of the baby admitted the difficulty to find a suitable and good bay name, especially when she had to prepared two name boy and girl, she revealed to KRQ radio with show hosts Johnjay and Rich.
“I’m having a hard time, I’m looking for boy and girl names, obviously, because it’s going to be a surprise for me,” Jones said. “I love Cary Grant, I like Marilyn Monroe. That seems kind of like a celebrity thing to do, those weird names. I’m not really into that. I don’t want to be too cliché about it.”
Announced her pregnancy in April and very much looking forward to be a mom. A source tells, “She’s really looking forward to this new chapter in her life as a single mom.”
The statement was confirmed again in the interview during her pregnancy, that she was enjoying being a homebody.
“I’ve been in a nesting phase just preparing my house and stuff.”
Matthew Weiner, a creator of Mad Men, told that the actress had been wanting a baby “very badly.”
“She’s got a big heart and she’s been talking about having children since I met her, which is not always common with actresses,” Weiner said. “I think she’s going to be amazing.”
