John Travolta, 55, finally speak out about his son tragically death as he testified at the Bahamian supreme court in Nassau against two people accused of trying to extort about $25 million from him.

Former senator Pleasant Bridgewater, 49, and former paramedic Tarino Lightbourne, 47, are accused of conspiring and attempting to extort money from Travolta. Bridgewater is also accused of abatement to extortion.

Back to December 29, 2008, when John Travolta and family were on their holiday home in Grand Bahama, accompanied by four nannies.

“I was sleeping in the condo with my wife. My son was in the room below and my daughter was next door,” he said at the court.

With Kelly Preston in the courtroom to supporting him, the actor said on front of nine juries that he and his wife were woken by a nanny pounding on their door at 10:15 am on January 2.

“I was awakened by Eli, my son’s nanny, pounding on the door saying Jett was unconscious. I ran at the door, I ran downstairs to help my son with my wife. I saw him on the bathroom floor. His other nanny, Jeff Kathrein, and an employee, a woman from Old Bahama Bay, was doing CPR on him. I took the place of the woman. Jeff was doing compressions and I was doing breathing. I asked if an ambulance had been called and I was told ‘yes’.”

And for the first time to, Travolta admits that his son suffered from autism, a condition that the star’s chosen religion, Scientology, doesn’t recognize.

“He was autistic. He suffered from a seizure disorder.”

And the extortion began when Travolta according to an officer that Lightbourne asked to witness a statement confirming that he insisted Jett be taken to an airport (45 minutes away) to have him flow back to the US. Then the Golden Globe winning actor was asked to sign a “refusal of medical attention” form, he did.

But then the defendants then tried to use the form to extort money from Travolta,  better than to serve the greedy person, he brought the extortion case to the court.

To take advantage from other person’s difficulty is not a respectable act. Lost his son already hard for John Travolta and family, and even have to face the trial and returning to the Bahamas was “extremely painful” for him.
