Sometimes some man just don’t understand which is the most important, work or the wife who has about time to labor. Well, I am not trying to be a judge here. Cole Hamels and Heidi Strobel had welcomed baby boy, named Caleb Michael Hamels, who is delivered at 9.a.m, Friday, October 9.

It all began during the Thrusday’s NLDS game, the left-hander pitch of The Phillies got the message from his wife through The Phillies’ travelling secretary, around 4 p.m.
“I’m in the hospital going into labor. Could you please tell Cole as soon as he’s done pitching?” Just right after Hamels served as starting pitcher in Game 2 of the Phillies National League Division Series with the Colorado Rockies, he got the message and took off right away to Lankenau Hospital in North Philadephia.

Luckily the exciting daddy be able to experienced the joy of seeing his first son born, and enjoying a fatherhood time with his new born child and share parenthood with his wife, Cole Hamels is expected to re-join the Phillies in Denver at Game 3 and Game 4 this weekend. The Phliies manager, Charlie Manuel, said that he would gain a better understanding about when Hamels may rejoin the club.

Congratulation for the happy couple.
