Mrs. Jay-Z has revealed about her mother obsession to tabloid magazines and often to buying up to 20 at the time while Beyonce stands to her.
“You know what? My mother loves to read celeb magazines, especially the racy tabloids!” said the star. “I can’t believe it sometimes. She’ll go to this magazine store in New York and buy 20 magazines while I’m standing next to her.
“I’m just praying nobody recognizes me while my mom is stacking up those magazines! But she loves reading the gossip about celebs and movie stars.
“I tell her a lot of the stuff isn’t true, but she says she gets a kick out of reading all the nonsense that gets printed, even about me!”
Still for Beyonce who soon will be change her name to Beyonce Knowles-Carter since she married with Shawn Carter, Jay-Z real name, family is still her priority and down to earth.
“My mom and my cousin are the leaders of my entourage,” she said. “They’re with me to help me stay grounded and relax and avoid going out on the town, which is something I rarely do anyway.”
Earlier this week, the Knowles family suffered a blow when it was announced that Beyonce’s parents Tina and Mathew would be divorcing after 29 years of marriage.
Caused by the rumours surfaced that Mathew may have been unfaithful, with a paternity suit filed by Alexandra Wright claiming he was the father of her unborn child – an allegation he has denied.
Even though the couple on the divorce process, but they claimed that the divorce would not be “an ugly, messy fight” and they would continue working together amicably.
