Once a man become a parent then the man had change, The 51-years-old Bollywood star Aamir Khan felt the same. The Dhoom 3 star tells his fatherhood experience at Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai to spread the awareness about in vitro fertilization (IVF) and surrogacy.
“It’s such a joy to have a child in your life. It’s something that really changes your life. I remember my mother used to tell me when I was a kid, ‘When you become a parent you’ll realize what it is to become a parent’,” said Khan.
“When I had my first child, Junaid, it changed me, changed my life. But there are so many parents, people, so many single parents who are unable to have a child,” he added.
Junaid is Khan’s first child from his previous marriage with Reena Dutta.
Amiir Khan who is now married to Kiran Rao was struggle while trying to have a baby. The couple finally able to have Azad, their first child as couple through surrogacy.
The couple who have been married for 10 years admit that there was no hurdles in opting having a baby technique.
“There were no hurdles, we both wanted to have a child. We were happy when he was born. We wanted to be clear about how we conceived the child, we didn’t do anything wrong and people should be aware about it. We are very happy that we gave birth to a child through IVF surrogacy,” he said
The 42-years-old an Assitant Director, Kiran Rao, shares her “complete” feel after Azad’s birth.
“I don’t know what I did for those 20 years before Azad was born. My life is so full now. I am so humbled by the completeness he makes me feel. We had a lot of trouble trying to have a child. I really didn’t think it would be possible to have a baby,” she said.
Rao continues, ”Angelically, Dr. Firuza appeared and found this way for us. We have no words to thank her and we wake up every morning blessing her and thanking her.”
They openly endorsed and advocated the usage of IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) and surrogacy to those facing difficulties in conceiving naturally.
Amiir Khan is father of 3 children, Junaid and Ira with Reena Duta and Azad Rao Khan with Kiran Rao.
